About Us

Empowering Lives, Transforming Communities

The Sabrina Foundation is a community-driven, nonprofit organization based in Kilifi County, Kenya. Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals and communities in Kilifi by providing targeted support, resources, and advocacy in key areas including healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, and community development.

Founded in 2019, we focus on creating a lasting impact through programs that uplift and empower the most vulnerable groups in the region. From healthcare and education to women’s empowerment and elderly support, we aim to bridge gaps in essential services and make a real difference in rural and underserved areas of Kilifi County.

At the heart of our efforts are several thematic programs designed to create sustainable change for the community. Our belief is simple – every individual, regardless of background, deserves access to opportunities that can improve their quality of life.

Mahenzo Sickle Cell Welfare Program

The Mahenzo Sickle Cell Welfare Program supports individuals with sickle cell disease in Kilifi County, providing education, blood donations, healthcare, and mental health services to enhance their quality of life.

Women Empowerment in the Blue economy

The Women Empowerment in the Blue Economy program equips women in Kilifi County with skills and opportunities to thrive in the blue economy, which focuses on sustainable ocean resource use for economic growth and ecosystem health. By addressing barriers like limited training and resources, the program enables women to play active roles in fisheries, maritime transport, and coastal management.

Msichana Shujaa

The Elimu, Ulinzi na Uwezeshaji wa Wasichana program supports girls in Kilifi County by breaking barriers to education, health, and social mobility, while addressing early pregnancies. The program provides access to quality education, menstrual hygiene products, counseling, and leadership training, empowering girls to achieve their full potential.

Afya ya Wazee

Huduma za Matibabu kwa Wazee provides essential healthcare to the elderly in rural Kilifi County. Through mobile clinics and outreach, the program ensures seniors receive check-ups, vaccinations, and health education, enhancing community wellness in underserved areas.

Jigger Campaign

The Jigger Campaign combats jigger infestations in vulnerable communities in Kilifi County, addressing a serious public health issue that leads to pain, disability, and stigma. The program offers free treatment, prevention education, and awareness campaigns to eradicate jiggers and help affected individuals reintegrate into their communities.

Kilimo kwa Maendeleo

The Farming for Prosperity Program empowers women and youth in Kilifi County by providing access to land, resources, and training for sustainable farming. The Sabrina Foundation allocates 200 acres, offering 1-acre plots every six months, with training in modern techniques and market linkages. This initiative aims to boost incomes, improve food security, and foster long-term community development.
