Increasing public awareness of sickle cell disease and providing support to families affected by sickle cell disease as well as sponsoring meetings, events, and workshops about how to live with sickle cell disease.

Mission

The mission of MAHENZO SICKLE CELL WELFARE CBO is to increase public awareness of sickle cell anaemia by promoting education research as well as offering assistance to families who are affected by this life-threatening disorder.

Objectives

2.1 Broad Objective

Creating ways to save lives of sickle cell anaemia persons through monthly blood and funds donations from the community with the help of national and international health ministries.

2.2 Specific Objectives

To foster unity and cohesion amongst its members.
To be a platform or a communication centre to educate members of the community about sickle cell anaemia.
To provide and share information on job opportunities for the group members.
To foster social welfare of its people.
To develop motivational and mentorship programs to improve the educational standards of the community.
To offer advice and support to families of sickle cell persons in the community.
To create a safe space social club where sickle cell persons can talk about their mental well-being.
To get funding for the purpose of buying medicine for sickle cell persons.
