Program Details

  • Land Allocation: The Sabrina Foundation provides 200 acres of arable land with access to water, strategically located within Kilifi County, for women and youth farmers.
  • Land Access: Eligible women and youth can apply for 1-acre plots every six months. These plots are allocated on a rotation basis to maximize access to farming opportunities.
  • Farming Cycle: Beneficiaries have 6 months to cultivate crops for income generation, supported by training, seeds, fertilizers, and tools provided by the foundation.
  • Support and Capacity Building: Participants receive training in modern farming techniques, water management, and sustainable practices, along with mentorship and market linkages.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Regular monitoring ensures progress tracking, impact evaluation, and program improvement for future cycles.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Women and Youth: Applicants must be residents of Kilifi County aged 18-35 and interested in farming.
  • Commitment: Participants must use the allocated land for agricultural purposes and demonstrate a strong motivation to succeed in farming.
  • Access to Resources: Priority is given to those lacking land or farming resources but eager to participate in the program.
